Peeling white radish is a common step in cooking. If you only peel the thin outer layer, the radish may still have a bitter taste. Therefore, many recipes recommend peeling the entire, slightly thicker skin. But how do you quickly peel a white radish?
How to quickly peel a white radish
Tools:
1 toothpick
Instructions
Step 1: Insert the toothpick diagonally into the outer skin of a section of white radish. Looking closely at the side of the radish, you will see a whiter circle on the outermost layer (marked by the red dotted line). Insert the toothpick into that layer.

Step 2: Keeping the toothpick at an angle, rub it back and forth in small, horizontal strokes, creating a horizontal line. (You can also lay the radish upright and use a toothpick to draw a line vertically downward.)

Step 3: Use your hands to peel back the outer layer of the radish from the cut line, then peel the entire piece forward.

Removing the entire outer layer will reduce the bitterness of the radish.
