How to Freeze Cherries

  • Step 1: Wash the cherries and dry them thoroughly with paper towels.
  • Step 2: Place the cherries in a freezer-safe ziplock bag, seal the bag, and freeze. They will keep for about one month.

Thaw Method:

Thawing cherries is simple. Simply leave them at room temperature for about three minutes to achieve a smoothie-like texture. Thawing for too long will deteriorate the flavor, so it’s not recommended.

How to Refrigerate Cherries

Cherries are sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. Once you’ve bought them, refrigerate them according to their ripeness. Consume them within two to three days to avoid prolonged storage. Here’s how to refrigerate cherries.

  • Step 1: Remove the cherries from the box. Line the bottom of the box with paper towels and return the cherries to the box. If the cherries aren’t boxed, use a food container or other suitable container.
  • Step 2: Cover the cherries with paper towels. Close the lid and store in the fruit and vegetable compartment of the refrigerator. Remove and wash when ready to eat.
