Sea Bream and Tofu Dish

The soft tofu combined with the tender fish, topped with chopped green onions and served over rice, makes for a nutritious meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 220 g Tilapia fillet
  • 100 g Egg tofu
  • 1 stalk Scallion
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • A pinch Pepper
  • 2 tsp Rice wine
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 1 tsp Oyster sauce
  • 6 tbsp Water

Notes

STEPS
  • Chop the scallions into small pieces and dice the tofu.
  • Cut the snapper into cubes of similar size to the tofu and marinate them with the seasoning for 20 minutes.
  • Beat the egg and set aside.
  • Mix the sauce ingredients together and set aside.
  • Heat cooking oil in a pan, add the fish, and cook until done.
  • Then add the tofu and sauce, and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. (During cooking, you can gently push or shake the pan with a wooden spatula to help the flavors penetrate.)
  • Finally, pour in the beaten egg and turn off the heat. Sprinkle with chopped scallions before serving. (If you are worried about the egg not being cooked through, simmer over low heat for a short time before turning off the heat.)
