Stir-fried Orange and Cabbage

Ingredients
  

  • 1 orange
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 head cabbage (shredded)
  • 10 tablespoons vegetable broth
  • 1 pinch salt and black pepper (adjust as needed)
  • 1/2 tablespoons sugar

Notes

  • Zest a small amount of the orange, peel it, and dice the flesh.
  • Pour butter into a pan and sauté the onion along with the butter until golden brown.
  • Add the shredded cabbage to the pan and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Then, add the orange zest, flesh, and vegetable broth and continue sautéing until the cabbage is tender, about 20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the cabbage with salt and black pepper, toss, and then add the sugar. Continue to stir-fry until the sugar dissolves and serve.
